The Beta 1.3 Update for Kansas Panic is Now Here!

Happy New Years! The Beta 1.3 update for Kansas Panic is now here! Updates include:

• There is a store system now. GXC first had it prematurely so it can uploaded in time for the contest. Go ahead and check it out!
• The game will now save your data automatically and it will load once you open it up again. Just make sure you see that notification saying that your game has been saved or you will lose your data.
• An overhaul to the controls. No longer do you have to repeatedly press the shoot key (which is by default the Enter key) to shoot at your enemies. You can just hold it down and it will continuously shoot. Your aim keys for the advanced controls are now your shoot keys. Your Enter key remains as your sole shoot key for the classic controls. Also for classic controls, quickly pressing your shoot key twice will open the inventory and quickly pressing it three times will rearrange your turrets. It will repeat this pattern every time you quickly tap your shoot key.
• In the settings menu, the "Arrows" option has been replaced with proper key mapping.
• Your up and down keys can be used in the settings menu now, so navigating it should make more sense now.
• The controls manual in the pause menu should be more readable now.
• The tutorial level should be less annoying now.

I will continue to work on the core mechanics of the game for the next update. I want to make sure everything is solid for players before I move on to the meat and potatoes of the game. I hope you all have a nice 2022!
